The Invest in Ethiopia 2026 Forum has successfully concluded, marking a significant milestone with the signing of major investment agreements exceeding $13 billion across key sectors of the economy.
The forum brought together global investors, industry leaders, and policymakers, reinforcing Ethiopia’s growing appeal as a competitive and strategic investment destination.
Among the companies that signed landmark agreements are:
- Quantum-Everest :- The company has expressed strong interest in real estate development and commercial investments, committing USD 100 million to facilitate investment flows from Poland into Ethiopia.
- Gobez Electric Manufacturing Plc :- An established player in renewable energy solutions, the company announced an additional USD 150 million investment to expand its solar cell manufacturing capacity. Notably, the company began operations following its agreement at the 3rd Invest in Ethiopia Forum.
- Sun King :- Focused on expanding access to off-grid solar energy systems, Sun King plans to invest USD 150 million by 2030 to support households and businesses with sustainable energy solutions.
- Rashmi Group :- Operating in the mining sector, particularly in gold, lithium, and other precious minerals, the company has committed USD 235 million for upcoming exploration activities in Ethiopia.
- Liaoning Fangda Group Industrial Co., Ltd. :- The company has agreed to invest USD 500 million to establish steel and pharmaceutical manufacturing plants, contributing to industrial development and value addition.
- Global Future Investment Ltd. :- With one of the largest commitments, the company will invest USD 2 billion to develop a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) focused on manufacturing, supporting Ethiopia’s industrialization agenda.
- Ming Yang Smart Energy Group Limited :- In a transformative move for the energy sector, the company plans to invest **over USD 10 billion** in renewable energy, hydrogen, and green ammonia production projects.
