Invest in Ethiopia 2026

From Opportunity to Investment:-
Ethiopia Signals a New Era for Private Investment

The 4th Invest in Ethiopia High-Level Business Forum, held on 26–27 March 2026 in Addis Ababa, brought together more than 800 investors, business leaders, policymakers, development partners and government representatives to explore Ethiopia’s growing investment opportunities and the country’s ongoing economic transformation.

The Forum served as a major platform to showcase Ethiopia’s reform agenda, priority investment sectors and long-term market potential. Discussions highlighted opportunities across renewable energy, manufacturing, agriculture and agro-processing, pharmaceuticals, construction, mining and other strategic sectors, while also creating space for direct engagement between investors and key government institutions.

A major outcome of the Forum was the signing of approximately USD 13.1 billion in investment agreements, reflecting growing investor confidence in Ethiopia and the scale of opportunities emerging across the economy. The agreements included major projects in renewable energy and green industries, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, off-grid energy and other productive sectors.

Beyond the value of the deals signed, Invest in Ethiopia 2026 was equally important as a platform for building partnerships. Through high-level policy dialogue, business-to-business meetings, investor discussions and sector-focused sessions, participants were able to engage directly on investment opportunities, regulatory reforms and project implementation.

The Forum also demonstrated Ethiopia’s continued shift toward a more private-sector-driven economy, supported by reforms aimed at improving the investment climate, strengthening investor facilitation and opening new areas of the economy to domestic and international participation.

The next priority is implementation—ensuring that the commitments announced during the Forum translate into operational projects, quality jobs, export growth, technology transfer, stronger local value chains and sustainable economic development.

Invest in Ethiopia 2026 reaffirmed a clear message to the global investment community: Ethiopia is open, reforming and ready to build long-term partnerships with investors.

Ethiopia is ready for investment. Ethiopia is ready for business.
